How To Help

Whether it be volunteering your time, making a donation or being a part of several fundraiser events, helping The Saratoga Center for the Family is always greatly appreciated.

The Greatest Gift -

A Note from William Lucarelli, Board of Directors Past President

Someone recently asked me to define the concepts of "success." Success means different things to different people: good health, money, a satisfying career, and providing for one's family can all serve as symbols of success.

But I also think that success is defined by one's ability to make a positive impact on other peoples' lives. Assuming that's true, then all of us involved with the Saratoga Center for the Family must be some of the most successful people in the world. Just look at what we've done.

We've provided counseling, advocacy or other assistance for well over 10,000 children and families. Our educational and prevention programs have helped thousands more stay safe. We've brought families together, provided comfort for those in need, and greatly reduced the heart wrenching effects of child abuse in Saratoga County. In short, we've touched a lot of lives.

I am truly blessed to be involved with the Center. I only hope each of you feels the same way. Whether you are a staff or board member, financial supporter , volunteer, advocate, client, or just a passive supporter, you have a lot to be proud of. Not everyone gets a chance to make such an overwhelmingly positive difference in a child's life, let alone thousands of children. We have. Think about that for a moment.

Our accomplishments have been many, but there is still work to be done.

There are untold numbers of other families that need our help. So let's stay the course. Together, we can fight abuse, strengthen families and put smiles on the faces of children across Saratoga County.

So let's encourage our neighbors to join us. Maybe they can discover the joy that comes with giving every child the greatest gift imaginable: a future filled with hope and promise.
